Gold Coast Pride Plant Walk and Talks are a regular event that brings our community together in beautiful natural surroundings. to take advantage of our amazing outdoor lifestyle.
This August, we will be visiting the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens and exploring the different plant communities poised on the brink of spring there! Permaculturist and artist Jason Sparrow, together with plant-loving members of our community, will lead this nature-loving walk and talk as we explore the space together. We will be paying particular particular attention to Australian native bush food plants, soil ecologies, fungus and reinvigorated native communities at the GCRBC.
The walk is flat, concreted and an easy walking grade. Our walk will take approximately 1hour - 1hour 30minutes depending on how much fun we are having! You are welcome to come for the walk or just join us for the picnic afterward! We'll supply a basic sausage sizzle and some soft drinks.
To allow for Gold Coast traffic, we are gathering at 11 and will set off at 11:30. Just catch up if you do arrive late, it's so fine!
Join us for our next walk together in nature as we stroll together through the beautiful botanic gardens in this low-key community social gathering.
