WALKING WITH PRIDE: CELEBRATING DIVERSITY, SEXUALITY, INCLUSION, AWARENESS
At 2pm Join us as we gather at the water’s edge on Surfers Paradise Beach, opposite Elkhorn Ave. We will have music as we get ready to march.
Then, at 3pm, we’ll make our way south along Surfers Paradise Beach and up to the Surfers Paradise sign where we will stop in our groups for a photo shoot under the Surfers Paradise sign, This is where you have your chance to show off your costume or if you are in a marching group you can do your 1.5 min choregraph routine . from the Surfers sign we make our way down Cavil mall stopping in the middle for another photo shoot or 1.5 min routine, then once we reach the end of the mall thats where we finish.
This will be a Pride march/parade, so wear your rainbow colours!
March in a group, or in our rainbow community. Carry your banners and fly your rainbow flags. Well-behaved doggies on leads are welcome!
You are officially encouraged to dress up, carry signs - and carry on! It’s a protest march in the true gay tradition, and it’s also a celebration of all the colour and diversity of our amazing LGBTQIA+ community here on the Gold Coast.
This is an all-inclusive event, all are welcome.
Sand wheelchairs are available - please get in touch if you have access needs:
The event is free - but donations towards the hosting of our Pride Festival are greatly appreciated.
Parking can be hard, arrive early to avoid disappointment! We recommend Bruce Bishop Car Park, 10 Beach Rd Surfers Paradise.
Join us for a party after the parade upstairs of the Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club. DJ Vincible and DJ Ashe will get you partying through the evening.
Free entry to everyone
